After the Making Your Period Your Superpower series it seemed like this was the next topic to look at. Plus I get asked about this a fair bit. How to get or stay pregnant when you have thyroid issue or PCOS, or only periods or just been trying for ages and have unexplained infertility.
Whilst this is a really hard and sensitive area to navigate (and this podcast episode is by no means comprehensive) I share with you the most common things I see with the women I work with that are impacting there fertility or hormones negatively. These are things that don't always get a thoroughly checked out by all Dr's but play a crucial role in your body's ability to conceive and maintain a healthy pregnancy.
What I share is a great place to start if you're at the start of this process or if you've been struggling for years or undergoing any assisted fertility treatment - what I can talk about can come alongside most forms of medical interventions too :) (Holistic heath and function medicine is not an 'us and them' fight with conventional approaches - they can often integrate wonderfully)

I would be a wealthy woman if I could a tenner each time I heard this phrase - mainly cos it is so true right now. There are lots of things we currently can't control and things have forever changed. BUT in today's episode, I want to share with you something that we know for sure.
A certainty each one of us has. Something each one of us has ownership and influence and certainty over. But I have been noticing a sneaky (illogical) pattern creeping up in conversations and social media and eating habits, so I felt the call to share this episode with you this week.

s part 3 of the series all about how to make your periods your superpower - which sounds awesome right?
BUT if your periods are painful, heavy, and reduce your quality of life then that is hardly a superpower. So in order to utilise the power, wisdom and gift that our cycle is, we need to first bring balance and healing to it.
And the 3 common issues I see with clients this part of the cycle is:
- heavy periods - leading to flooding, anemia and reduce the quality of life.
- pain and sickness.
- no period at all .
So what can you do about it? Well thats what we chat about more in the show!
